The 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s exploration of the river is being celebrated throughout the area in 2009. As part of our celebration, mural artists Sone Tower and Larry D’Amico have led two workshops for children in the creation of a mural for the Children’s Room. On Saturday, March 7, participating children drew sketches for the mural, and on Saturday, March 28, they came back to help paint the mural. Now Sone and Larry are going to complete the mural, and we will have an Installation Celebration when the mural is installed. Here are some photos of the children at work. You can see more pictures here.

Wow! What a great idea! Very cool! Where will you install it? Love your new design – and the tabs. Very springy!

Thanks! – it’s going on the back wall – we only have 2 large walls for putting up pictures – there are windows everywhere else.
