Story Stop chooses new books for the library!

Story Stop is an exciting new program for children in kindergarten and older. On Wednesday afternoons @4:30 pm, we meet to read books that the library has not yet ordered (advance copies sent to us by publishers, or copies of books from other libraries around the county).  Then we evaluate the books to see if they should be ordered for our library. The decisions are not always unanimous – but majority wins. Yesterday, we chose 2 terrific picture books to put on our order list:

Henry in Love by Peter McCarty

and  The Strange Case of the Missing Sheep by Mircea Catusanu

Look for them in the Children’s Room collection in the next few weeks.

If you would like to join our group, come in to the Children’s Room to register, or call us: 914-941-2416 ext. 338.

Great idea! What other books did you choose from?

We just read those 2 & the kids decided if they wanted us to order them. It’s a new program, and each week they will hear 2 or 3 new titles.
