The Ossining Public Library Children’s Room hosted its first annual Noon Year’s Eve party on Monday. At least 60 children–we lost count–showed up to celebrate the new year early.
The children decorated party hats or crowns and shakers.
Then the dancing began, and the bubbles came out.
The children followed Children’s Librarian Trish in a conga line through the entire first floor before coming back to the Children’s Program Room for a countdown to noon. At noon, we all yelled “Happy Noon Year,” blew noisemakers and threw ribbon confetti up in the air.
Here’s a video:
All the children got a cup of ginger ale to toast, and a cup of pretzels. Then they watched fireworks (a video!) before heading home.
