Here at the Ossining Public Library’s Children’s Room, summer is in full swing. More than 200 children have already signed up for our Summer Reading program. We’ve got lots of dinosaurs on our Read-to-Me board, and lots of kids who are reading on their own, too.
Next week all of our summer programs begin. All your favorites will be back: Mother Goose, Baby Laptime, Time For Twos, Brick Builders, and Family Storytime will be returning, in addition to some fun new programs.
Monday afternoons at 4 pm children entering grades 1-3 can join us for Science Mania. We’ve made some changes to our preschool program, which is now called Ready, Set, Kindergarten! Join us with your 3- 5-year-olds on Tuesdays at 2 pm. For children ages 6-12, we have Stars on Stage at 4 pm on Tuesdays. We’ll have some fun on Wednesdays, too. Camp Caldecott, for children entering grades K-3, is at 4 pm. Listen to award-winning stories and make an art project. And each Wednesday night we will have a party. On July 10 we’re having a Beach Party. Thursday afternoons at 2 pm will be Stories Under the Stars, for children ages 4 and up. And on Fridays children 3 and up can join us on the stairs at the lower level for Sidewalk Stories. Check out our calendar for all the details.
