Sing a song of storytime

This week we sang our way through Ready, Set, Kindergarten! All our books this week were songs in book form. These are a great thing to read to children when working on one of the six early literacy skills that children need before they learn to read: phonological awareness. This skill also includes Mother Goose rhymes, books with animal sounds, and books with rhymes.

After the stories, songs, and rhymes, the children had some time to play with some of our building materials.
