Today’s Sci-Fri activity was a slimey one! Using Borax, glue, water, and food coloring, the Sci-Friers created a polymer mixture (a.k.a. Slime).
How did we do it?
Here’s the recipe:
- 1 tsp. Borax (**Keep out of mouths and eyes**)
- 1/2 cup – water (warm)
- 1/2 cup – glue
- 1/2 cup – water (room temperature)
- food coloring
Pour half a cup of warm water into a bowl with the Borax. Stir until the Borax is completely dissolved. Then, pour the mixture into a large bowl. Add the glue and the room temperature water to the large bowl and mix together. Then, stir in a few drops of your favorite color food coloring! Once your done mixing, store your slime in a plastic baggy. Refrigerate it to keep it fresh. Remember to wash your hands!
