How our gardens grow

Some of our books about gardens

Today in Ready, Set, Kindergarten! we had fun reading and talking about gardens. We read about a surprise garden, and we enjoyed reading and discussing what kinds of things to plant in an imaginary garden. The children all made garden pictures of their own. We had everything growing, from flowers to lightning! All the children also got to take home a zipper bag with cotton balls and corn kernels. Wet the cotton balls, tape the bag to a sunny window, and watch the corn sprout!

Growing a tiger, snow, lightning, the sun, and a leash and collar (for the tiger, of course)

A very busy (but more traditional) flower garden
