Summer programs in the Children’s Room

Our summer programs in the Children’s Room began last week. Here’s a sampling of what’s happening this summer.

Ready, Set, Grow! 

Ready, Set, Grow is an early literacy storytime for 3-5 year olds on Wednesdays at 2 pm. Our first week we had stories and activities about ice cream. To see all the photos, click here.

Open Art

Open Art is on Thursdays at 2 pm. Each week, we will put out various art supplies and kids can create whatever they like. It is for all ages, but children 6 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Click here for more photos.

Summer Reading Buddies

Over 100 children read with a volunteer buddy last Friday. The program runs from 10 am-12 noon on Fridays. For children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Family STEAM

Family STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) is Mondays at 4 pm. Children of all ages are welcome, but kids 6 & under must have an adult with them. This week, we made emoji stories. See all the photos here.

Messy Playtime

On Tuesdays at 2 pm is Messy Playtime, for kids ages 1-4, with an adult. Explore textures, tools, & crafts. Be sure to dress for a mess!
